Found near Oaxaca, these ruins were the center of a city with a population of around 17,000. For 1000 years, this city was one of the strongest political and economic powers in Central America. The ruins have pyramids, platforms, tombs, houses, a palace, an observatory, and even a court for some kind of ball game.
