Zoom 2: Center

As far as we know, there is a black hole in the center of every galaxy. The white dot at the center of this picture is the combined light of millions of stars that crowd around the black hole. Even if they weren't there, it would still be too small to see. In fact, the black hole would be about the size of a single atom at this scale!
